May God forgive me and guide me regarding anything that would have been misinterpreted in this study and elsewhere. May He always guide us to a better understanding of His profound scripture so we can purify ourselves and increase our knowledge.
The Quranic prophecy of the smoke (44:10) proclaims the advent of the greatest retribution that will afflict the human race and planet earth before the return of Gog and Magog and the Day of Judgment. We will show, as the Quran says in sura 44 in a slightly hidden manner, that the prophecy of the smoke will occur, God willing, on the same day as the most important event of the Islamic calendar: The night of decree (Laylatul Qadr), the holy night during which the Quran was revealed. Most importantly, we are going to explain exactly which night of the lunar calendar it is, which is critical because it will prove, when the prophecy is fulfilled, that the Quran is the Word of God to guide the human race in the path of Islam based on the Quran alone and establish peace on earth.
Sura 44: The smoke
(44:1) Ha Meem. (44:2) By the clarifying book! (44:3) Indeed, We revealed it during a blessed night(1). Indeed, We are [here] warning! (44:4) [A night] during which every wise command(2) is distinctly defined. (44:5) It is a command that originates from Us, [that] indeed We sent (44:6) As a mercy from Your lord. Indeed, He is the One who hears and knows [everything]. (44:7) Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, if you (plural) [happen to] have been blessed with certainty. (44:8) There is no other God than Himself. He grants life and death. Your (plur.) Lord, as well as the lord of your forefathers. (44:9) Yet, they are consumed by doubt, taking life lightly (lit, “playing”). (44:10) Therefore, watch [second person sing. = O Muhammad] for the day that the sky brings a profound smoke. (44:11) It will envelop the human race. This will be a painful retribution! (44:12) Our Lord! [We implore You:] Relieve us from this retribution, we are [now] believers! (44:13) How shall they benefit from the reminder(3) [now], when, verily, a clarifying messenger had come to them?! (44:14) Then, they turned away from him and said: “He is a crazy teacher!”. (44:15) Indeed, we will remove the retribution for awhile, yet, they will revert.
(1) The Night of Decree, that is to say “Laylatul Qadr”, during which the Quran was revealed (sura 97).
(2) We are dealing here specifically with the commands revealed on earth every single year during the night of decree by the angels, as well as Gabriel, as they implement God’s plan (see: 97:4).
(3) The Quran.
The first part of sura 44 (verses 44:1-15 above) warns the human race about the advent of prophecy of the smoke, which will afflict the entire human race. God mentions that the Quran was revealed on the “blessed night”, the night of Decree, to point at the fact that it is a warning:
(44:3) Indeed, We revealed it during a blessed night(1). Indeed, We are [here] warning!
The very simple reason why “laylatul Qadr” is described as a warning is because it is tied to the theme of this Quranic section: The prophecy of the smoke. The “night of decree” is referred to by name only four times in the entire Quranic text:
– It is mentioned by name three times in sura 97 (Al Qadr) in verses 97:1-3.
– It is mentioned one additional time in 44:3, being referred to as “the blessed night” (لَيْلَةٍ مُّبَارَكَةٍ).
– To be comprehensive, three pronouns also designate “laylatul Qadr” in 97:4 (هَا), 97:5 (هِيَ) and 44:4 (هَا).
This is to show how statistically significant it is – and not a coincidence – for the night of decree to be mentioned as a warning in the Quranic section that refers to the prophecy of the smoke.
The main purpose of this article is not just to say that the prophecy of the smoke is connected to the date the Quran was revealed (Laylatul Qadr), which is slightly hidden in the text, but to say at the same time that it is specifically Ramadan 27, as encoded mathematically in the Quran: This crucial information is proven in the article “Miracle of Laylatul Qadr”. I invite everyone to assess the proofs presented on this website (miracle of laylatul qadr). Hadiths have historically shed doubts about the exact date the Quran was revealed, claiming it is one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan, and it was time to rely on the Quran alone to fix that problem.
It is possible that the prophecy of the smoke will occur during the daytime, or at dawn, rather than during the night, as 97:5 states the following:
(97:5) Peaceful it (Laylatul qadr) is, until the advent of the dawn.

The next two verses (44:4-5) explain the meaning of the blessed night confirming that, in accordance with 97:4, it is a night where, every single year, God appoints His angels and Gabriel to descend and define every wise command:
(97:4) The angels and the spirit (Gabriel) descend therein, upon permission of their Lord, [to carry out] every command.
(44:4) [A night] during which every wise command is distinctly defined. (44:5) It is a command that emanates from Us,…
This aspect of the angels and Gabriel delivering God’s command every year during the night of decree is particularly clear given the usage of the imperfect in the Quranic text in 97:4 and 44:4, which implies repetition.
In addition to the night of decree being a warning, the specific “command” referred to in 44:5 and delivered on Laylatul Qadr is said to be “a mercy”:
(44:4) … [that] indeed We sent (44:6) As a mercy from Your lord. Indeed, He is the One who hears and knows [everything].
I believe that those who will be able to understand that the prophecy of the smoke will actually occur on a Ramadan 27 and will prepare themselves and the next generations will benefit from the promise of the Quran, God willing, as it will be a mercy for them so they can get ready to weather the curse that will befall on the human race.
Why will it happen?
(44:7) Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, if you (plural) [happen to] have been blessed with certainty. (44:8) There is no other God than Himself. He grants life and death. Your (plur.) Lord, as well as the lord of your forefathers. (44:9) Yet, they are consumed by doubt, taking life lightly (lit, “playing”).
Most people do not believe in God, or think they do, but choose to take life lightly, as if it were a game. Therefore, they do not pay attention to His message, and His warnings.
We are at a point in the history of mankind where atheism and corruption is rampant and gaining ground every day. All religions that rely on God’s scriptures (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) have been so perverted that they do not provide the backbone that they are supposed to provide to ensure reasonable peace on earth. People are unable to benefit from God’s pure message and follow instead man-made traditions and beliefs. One of the most extreme example is how Muslims have massively deserted the Quran (see 21:30), and follow instead laws other than God and His revelations known as hadiths (see 45:6), even when they blatantly contradict the Quran. This leads to religious dictatorship, murder (stoning to death the adulterer, killing people to refuse to perform the salât, killing whoever they consider an apostate, etc…), compulsion (by trying to force people to embrace Islam, persecute them, or kill them if they do not convert) and wars. In addition, we have seen in recent times the emergence of new types of corruption that endanger the very foundation and future of planet earth:
– Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), which is altering God’s perfect creation and balance on earth by altering genes (which are massively promoted by the food and pharmaceutical industry). The first genetically modified humans were born in 2018, and this is just the beginning of the massive craziness that will affect mankind and the world. Changing the creation of God is forbidden in the Quran and was prophesied in 4:119 (see the article “GMOs the seeds of satan” for more details).
– The non respect of the ecology of planet earth, for instance “fracking” the ground to extract oil and gas, which pollutes the water supply, triggers earthquakes and increases global warming (by releasing massive amounts of gas in the atmosphere).
– Rampant legalization of Gay marriage, homosexuality being forbidden by God.
– Legalization of genital mutilation to allow so called sex change, while God forbids to change His creation.
– A growing acceptance and/or legalization of prostitution and various kinds of satanic sexual deviance.
– Rampant terrorism, especially in Islam, when Islam should be the first to set the standard for peace on earth.
– A culture where people are harassed by violence, horror and pornography, all of which should be banned by any decent society.
– A worldwide system of usury which destroys human societies.
….and, unfortunately, a lot more types of corruptions which plague the human race.
The result will be the following:
(44:10) Therefore, watch [second person sing. = O Muhammad] for the day that the sky brings a profound smoke. (44:11) It will envelop the human race. This will be a painful retribution! (44:12) Our Lord! [We implore You:] Relieve us from this retribution, we are [now] believers! (44:13) How shall they benefit from the reminder [now], when, verily, a clarifying messenger had come to them? (44:14) Then, they turned away from him and said: “He is a crazy teacher!”.
This is in short why the retribution of the smoke is coming, in order to inflict upon the human race what it deserves, as well as to help true believers to prepare themselves to overcome the effects of this catastrophic prophecy, and try to limit as much as possible all the damage that will have been caused to planet earth in the meantime.
The prophecy of the smoke occurring on Ramadan 27 will prove to the human race that the Quran is the word of God, as mankind will see that the Quran had predicted its exact day and month, on the very day the Quran was revealed. We will then see if mankind will atone for its sins and embrace true Islam based on the Quran alone. We will see if we are able to change course and repair all the damage that will have been caused and establish God’s kingdom on earth and live in peace.
Regardless of how long we will able to purify ourselves and reverse the catastrophic damage and corruption, we are warned: The human race will revert to its old ways:
(44:15) Indeed, we will remove the retribution for awhile, yet, they will revert.
God tells us that the smoke that will envelop the human race will come from the sky and not the heavens, at least not directly:
(44:7) Lord of the heavens (plural) and the earth, and everything between them, if you (plural) [happen to] have been blessed with certainty.
(44:10) Therefore, watch [second person sing. = O Muhammad] for the day that the sky (singular) brings a profound smoke. (44:11) It will envelop the human race. This will be a painful retribution!
The words “samawat” (heavens, plural form) and “sama’” (sky) are used respectively in 44:7 and 44:10, which shows that the plural form designates the heavens on the one hand, while the singular designates the sky on the other hand. Therefore, the smoke will come from our sky as it will propagate around the earth. It could be the result of a giant asteroid or comet hitting planet earth and generating massive dust and smoke, or the explosion of a super volcano, and very possibly the result of a massive nuclear war where the sky will disseminate the smoke created by intercontinental ballistic missiles carrying nuclear bombs around the world, creating a devastating nuclear winter. God knows best. Regardless of what will cause it, it is already engraved in the Holy Quran, and it will be a divine retribution punishing the human race for all its sins.
As said earlier, knowing that the prophecy of the smoke is a fact and why it will happen is a mercy from God if believers around the world start submitting to God by following the Quran alone, and start reversing the extreme damage that is currently being caused in every way everywhere on earth.
We do not know the exact year it will happen, but it is likely that God will give us plenty of time to get ready for that very sad day that could easily cause the death of billions of human beings, as a profound smoke will envelop planet earth for an extended period of time.
I enjoin believers to beware of false messengers who will inevitably surface and will attempt to hijack the prophecy of the smoke by prophesying its exact year and date, misled by their ego. Such false messengers have actually already made false prophecies regarding the smoke, such as Rashad Khalifa and others, and the result has always been the same: They were exposed.
So will enough believers be able to unite and fight against corruption before the advent of the smoke? It is up to us, it is up to you. It is not just for us, but for the future and preservation of our planet and all life on earth.
